Nikes

Sorry, that was supposed to read "Nikes" and not "Nukes".  Corrected now.  So, I got some new running shoes!  They're supposed to help with my callus issues...if you're having same issues, Luke's Locker West Gray will will analyze your gait.   I had the manager, who's supposed to be really good at analyzing feet, analyze mine and he recommend these.  I'll report back and see if they help. These are my first pair of Nikes!  Aren't the cute?!

Take Out & Park

I had this strange craving to get Chinese take out and eat with a friend in the comfort of a home. I found a willing friend and we picked up food from Thai Cottage and decided to eat at a park type spot. We ended up at Whole Foods Montrose and sat at their outdoor tables on the side facing downtown. It was so nice and surprisingly a really great way to spend an evening. It's definitely going to be my new thing. I shall continue to blog on my take out & park adventures. Try it, it's fun!

On another note, Finger Companies is building a new apartment complex off of West Dallas!  Love the revitilization in this area!

The Good Dog

Speaking of hot dogs, I can't believe I was so lucky to run into the Good Dog food truck this weekend at Inversion's parking lot after having had Happy Fatz recently. I was able to compare better.   I remembered really liking the Guac Dog the first time I had it, so I got it again.   I take my first bite...goodness it's so delicious!  Just like I remembered it. Their bread is just so good and cut a little funky. The toppings so fresh and tasty, love it. I have to admit I think the actual hot dog might have been better at Happy Fatz.  You know I love that snappy skin, but overall, the Good Dog is hands down better. Ok, that's all for now...

Americas River Oaks

Yes, my first time...well...to this location. This location has been opened for at least 2-3 years. On Sunday, it's all brunch buffet set up, $35. Pretty nice spread, I found I only really liked 2 dishes. The rest was ok. I love that creamy jalapeno dip and those fried plantains, yum yum.

The decor is really...over-the-top with it's exaggerated designs in it's furniture, big popcorn-like and legumes structures on the walls, supposed sea anemones light covers. It's all very weird and Willy Wonka. I did enjoy my sangria and Janice enjoyed her mimosas. Overall, it was an interesting experience.
